Great all around phone and value.
Great value and I love the matte screen. Good battery life.At first I was disappointed withe the charging speed, but that was easily fixed with a USB-C to USB-C cable and 30 watt charging block. Everything is easy to use and the screen wasn’t bad in sunlight when I increased the brightness of the screen.I find it to perform better than similarly priced Motorollas or Samsung. If you want a matte screen or read a lot on your phone, this is the phone for you.I only play chess and the occasional casual game. It works great for that.Definitely the best bang for your buck out of the mid tier phones out there today.

If you read a lot and don’t want the restrictions of a Kindle, this is a good choice.
I’m read a lot, and my eyes tire by the end of the day. The TCL 60 makes reading much more comfortable and enjoyable. It’s a fully functional smartphone and the battery lasts for days. The only weakness I see is that the camera is not as good as the premium camera I enjoy on my oneplus 12. I may be a bit spoiled. Still I’m very pleased with the Nxtpaper, and my eyes no longer sting all the time. Wish it came with a protective case because they are hard to find.

Reliable unlocked 5G phone. Very fast and impressive compared to older TCL model I used to own.
I upgraded to this from their older model TCL 20 SE 64GB RAM + 128GB ROM purchased back in 2021.So far I only see pros with the smart phone after owning it for over 1 week. Display is very clear and I can go from one app to another very fast and rarely any lag. Camera and video quality is very good. The phone is great value for anyone that dislike paying a lot of money for unlocked phones from major manufacturers.I currently use Google Fi 5G and it works great with the phone. I used the E-SIM to setup with Google Fi services.

    It’s a good phone
It’s a great phone for the price and the features you get are great. It has a headphone jack! And SD card expansion which are becoming more rare as we go forward and regress by removing things instead of adding and improving. The screen is 120hz and is very easy on the eyes, the colors are pleasing to look at with the anti glare screen. The camera is amazing on this phone and has pretty good filters to play with if you are into that stuff including the paper filters. It does slow motion video as well. Clearly the main feature is the E paper like display(it’s an lcd not an e-ink) it has a button on the side to put it in the e paper mode and it’s very good for when you want to read or general use in color e paper mode

Scratching like it’s a 90’s mixtape. No match for a fob.
The phone seemed fine for the price. A month later, and I am not as impressed. The novelty has worn off- along with the screen surface. See below.DAILY ISSUES:I notice some speed or lag issues occasionally.Screen brightness is a constant battle. It changes all the time. I have to readjust it constantly. I have changed settings numerous times. The Haptic/Static feature is kind of annoying. When the phone is on a flat surface, the response is off. I sometimes have to pick up the phone to get screen responses, such as opening an app or typing.GOOD FEATURES:Options to change screens and power saving are nice. The battery life in the “ink” setting is really good.THE MAIN ISSUE:Matte screen finish will scratch very easily. My screen protector broke, so I peeled it off. I have new ones on the way. I kept my phone in a pocket for about ten minutes. When I pulled it out, I saw several scratches covering about an inch of the screen. (Pictures attached)NOTE: A piece of hard plastic left scratches in the surface. I did not have a diamond-tip drill bit in my pocket, guys. I had a key fob in my pocket. It’s plastic.I contacted Amazon, and they connected me to the TCL Customer Service department. After several days of messages, I received the following:______________________________________________________Thank you for waiting. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. After confirming with our technical team, please note the following:What may appear to be scratches on the screen is usually not actual damage. Our eye-protection screen uses an AG etching process. When it comes into contact with metal, tiny metallic particles may attach to the microscopic pits on the AG surface. These marks can generally be wiped away.To prevent this, we recommend avoiding keeping your phone together with metal objects. If marks appear, you can usually re move them with a glasses cloth or an er aser. For more stubborn spots, a small amount of toothpaste or mild detergent should help.Best regards,TCL Customer Service______________________________________________________You can’t really enjoy the paper-like surface for too long, which means covering it with a screen protector. Defeats the purpose, as that was one of the main features I found interesting – albeit novel. So, keep feathers in your pocket and always carry this phone in a felt box. You’ll get to enjoy it for a few more weeks than expected.

    Sneaky good phone for price
I’m a week away from 45 years old. Until about 18 months ago, I had never broken, or even damaged a phone. Since then, I have lost so many phones. For a long while, I was simply buying refurbished versions of the same phone. I took a gamble on this phone. $250 with $25 ‘coupon’. I was ultra skeptical of a new phone at such a low price. I’ve now had it for over a full day, could not be more shocked at how good a phone it is, regardless of its price point. I’m a Samsung person, not an apple person. But has done everything I need it to do, YouTube, light gaming, etc., at the same performance as a Samsung s24 ultra. Lastly, the ‘kindle’ display functionality should not be underestimated. Even in normal mode, the display is much easier on my eyes. I very highly recommend. Of course, with a disclaimer of it only having been 24+ hours.Update: coating on the screen is very easily damaged. enormous struggles connecting to my wifi. equal struggles using mobile network. more often than not, fails to load full webpages as a result of the above. I’m not entirely dissatisfied, simply very disappointed. it is not a replacement for even a base smartphone. I would rate it much lower if not for the price.
