These were winners at our summer Disney/Orlando vacation. Long lasting battery, kept cool when added with cooling towels. These will forever be on my list of essentials.

Funny little fan; noisy armpit blaster
This little fan makes me smile because it seems silly, but note that I’ve given it 4 stars because it does just what it says it will do.It is not quiet, there’s quite a whine at the higher speeds. It has a nice very-visible battery-status lighted LCD. The USB input and output sockets are very accessible, under a rubber cover which is probably a ‘bit” waterproof. It has 4 power settings.Setting 1 – doesn’t do much. You’d do about as well fanning your face with a piece of copier paper.Setting 2 – louder, and this works if you prop it and point it at your face from a couple feet away, to cool your face off, which is worthwhile on a hot day. It has a little stand which folds out and will prop it at exactly one angle, which you’ll have to adjust by putting other things under it.Setting 3 – is the first setting that kinda works blowing air up your shirt, and let’s face it, that’s what this is really for; under-shirt evaporative cooling at the slight peer-pressure cost of having a whining lump under your shirt. One downside is that you can only really put it at the edge of a shirt which isn’t tucked in, because in my exhaustive testing I quickly found that if you have it farther up your shirt, the intake gets quickly blocked by a lower part of your shirt. In reality, you’ll mostly just shove your hand under your shirt and direct the air that way. And easier if you just take your shirt off while doing so.Setting 4 – let’s be real, this is the setting which will really cool one off the most and be most used. The sound isn’t subtle and the battery life visibly counts down. There have been times in my life I’d have enjoyed one of these, and maybe there will be in the future.I must say that I also have one of those purported 100,000 rpm air-blasters, and it will dry your armpits more quickly, more noisily, and no more obstrusively. If you are moving around a whining object under your shirt – or wherever – people will notice.Certainly for indoor use, you could get more airflow more quietly from an inexpensive plug-in desk fan, so this is clearly for use when away from AC power, in a situation where you probably can’t just take your shirt off, but with enough social comfort that nobody thinks it odd that you’re sticking a noisy fan up your shirt to blow your armpits. It does seem to me subjectively that I notice the fan power noticeably diminishing a bit once the battery level drops.Anyhow, I kinda like this and will use it, even thinking it’s kinda silly. Also, using it as a spare power bank is a nice option, particularly since Amazon will ship devices with this function as secondary to me in hawaii, but will not ship items to me with ONLY a power bank function. The current price of $30 as of this review makes this an affordable item, particularly if you consider it a small power bank that also will cool your armpits when nobody judgemental is around. Sometimes a silly item can make you smile and this is exactly what it says it is.

Game changer!
I have the larger version of this with two fans. This one is lighter on features but gives you the same great cooling effect. It will last you almost all day. It has 4 speed settings, unlike its bigger brother which has 10 speed settings. You may think of 10 or even 4 speeds as excessive, but these have an impressive range of speed so you will appreciate being able to control it. I think 5 is adequate but 10 is appreciated. The interface on this small one uses one button: long press to switch it on and off, short presses cycles the speed setting 1 through 4. Leave it running a few seconds and it will show the battery level. When you turn it back on it always starts at setting 1, which is probably for the best, because:It will be a bit loud when cranked up. That’s way more of a feature than a bug, though. When you are feeling like you want it cranked up, you will NOT be concerned with its noise level, trust me. You will get several hours of usage with it cranked up and it will last for multiple days of usage at lower power levels. That’s perfect, because in my experience I’ve found most other products of this type really dont give you enough battery capacity to make much of a difference. It is difficult to overstate the power of this thing. When set to 4, it is running by my estimate at something like 8000 RPM.There are so many great features on this thing.- desk stand- power bank functionality including usb-c- usb-c charging- battery level display down to the single digit percent- shirt clip!It comes with a neck strap, but I do think it will be a rare situation when you will prefer to use that. Maybe the ladies would prefer that with some types of clothing. But I found even with the big version of this fan that i would much prefer to use the belt clip even on flimsy/thin summer shorts. This small one is much lighter so it will be even more comfortable to wear.I will say that all these features kind of spoil you, and you start to expect the world of this gadget. But if you are in obscene levels of humidity there is only so much it can accomplish, but it will definitely supercharge the cooling you get, and will measurably reduce the amount of sweating you end up doing. One thing to note is depending on your positioning the fan will not be able to cool you nearly as well when you are sitting down, you can of course adjust it to improve that. However when sitting down the cooling will not work as well as when standing up. When standing up, if you crank it, it will be able to create a cushion of moving air in your shirt. While sitting down that is not possible.
