The “Twist-to-Adjust” fit is a game changer + Massive ANC upgrade
As someone who used the original Pixel Buds Pro, the Pro 2 is a significant leap forward, not just a small refresh. The Fit (The best part):The biggest issue with the old ones was them slipping out during workouts. The new “twist-to-adjust” stabilizer fin is genius. You twist it one way to lock it into your ear for a run (and they do not budge), and twist it back to loosen it for all-day comfort at your desk. They are also noticeably smaller and lighter than the previous generation.Performance with Pixel 9 Pro XL:Pairing these with my Pixel 9 Pro XL was seamless. The connection is rock solid, and the new Tensor A1 chip isn’t just marketing hype. The Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is drastically better—it cuts out the low hum of the AC and traffic noise almost completely. The “Silent Seal 2.0” actually works.Gemini & Battery:Having Gemini Live accessible hands-free is surprisingly useful for quick questions without pulling out my phone. Battery life is solid—I’m getting a true 8 hours with ANC on, which gets me through a full workday. If you have a Pixel phone, these are a no-brainer. The integration is flawless, and the fit/sound quality makes them worth the upgrade. I got these in black and have had no issues so far with durability.

Excellent audio fidelity for music, pretty good ANC, nice fit
Much has been said about the audio quality of these buds vs the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 3 and the Airpods 2, and I think much of that commentary is inaccurate. It is true these buds do have a steep rolloff cliff at 15khz, but it is also true most adults don’t hear well over 15khz – this is why the best lossy codecs such as Frauenhofer’s famous MP3 codec, which people in studies could not differentiate from lossless at 320kbps, recommend rolling frequencies above 16khz off. Because its better to have accurate sound in the most audible frequencies with 16khz+ rolled off, than to have inaccurate sound in the most audible frequencies with 16khz+ intact. And this is where sites like RTINGS fail in interpreting their own graphs when they score these buds low in “accuracy”, but then give the Galaxy Buds Pro 3 and Airpods 2 a higher rating despite them being less accurate in the most audible frequencies. The Galaxy Buds Pro 2 have bass boosted inaccurately, and the Apple Airpods 4 deviate from neutrality in the mids and highs – while the Pixel Buds Pro 2 are neutral – offering a higher fidelity listening experience. Would it be nice if earbuds went up to 20khz *and* were accurate in the audible range? Yes, but none of these three options do this currently. ALSO, it is worth noting that the Pixel Buds Pro 2 *nail* the Harman curve, unlike any of the other options.TLDR; if you want the most accurate sound in the *most audible* frequencies, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 are the best choice. Also the Pixel Buds Pro 2 offer cool AI features the competition does not, such as nodding to accept a call, or shaking your head to decline a call. Now, I would not say they are flawless. I feel like the active noise cancelation (ANC) is slightly imbalanced, with the right being stronger than the left a bit. I tried two pairs, and the 2nd pair seemed better in this regard.I thought they were both extremely comfortable and stayed in the ear well with the default tips. The “wing” helps a lot in this regard.Haven’t had them long term yet so can’t comment on long term reliability. But so far, I would highly recommend them.

The Best in Buds – PERIOD!
Design and Comfort-The second generation of Google Pixel Buds Pro is widely praised for its refined design. Reviewers often note the improved ergonomic fit, which offers enhanced comfort and stability for extended wear. The build quality is considered premium, with a durable and sleek finish that aligns with the Google hardware aesthetic.Audio Performance-Regarding audio, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 receives high marks for sound quality. They deliver a balanced and rich audio profile, with clear mids and highs, and a robust bass response. The active noise cancellation (ANC) is effective at isolating low-frequency sounds, though some reviews indicate it could be more robust in handling higher-frequency ambient noise. The transparency mode is also noted for its natural and clear sound passthrough. And they come equipped for Dolby Atmos immersive audio with head tracking technology.Features and Integration-A significant selling point is their seamless integration within the Google ecosystem, particularly with Pixel devices. Features such as Google Assistant, real-time translation, and quick pairing are highlighted as intuitive and reliable. The battery life has also seen a notable improvement, often meeting or exceeding the advertised playtime, making them a strong contender for all-day use.In summary, the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 is regarded as a significant upgrade from its predecessor, offering superior comfort, high-quality audio, and excellent features that solidify its position as a top-tier option in the competitive wireless earbud market.I love my Pixel Buds Pro 2 and have 3 pairs total (2 pairs of the Gen 1 Buds Pro) and there’s no contest once you’ve tried the 2nd Gen. They’re nearly 50% lighter, way more comfortable and are designed to lock into place for more reliable fitting than the 1st Gen. Thanks to the fast pair technology they intuitively and effortlessly connect between my Pixel 8 Pro, tablet, Google TV streamer, Chromebook, etc. There’s a reason I’m dubbed the THE ‘OFFICIAL unofficial Google Guy’ on my social media and I openly -and honestly-stand by the Google brand, specifically recommended this product to anyone on the hunt for an audiophile particular quality, construction and functionality that’s as impressive as the endless features available in the buds themselves – with even more dropping this fall!!!

I am not complaining about the product, but the seller, I bought this product and one earpiece is damaged and getting heated while I tried to pair it. And pairing Also didn’t happen.

Device is used, scuffed and with earwax in the buds and box with a previous owner registered as wellBuds has been repackaged and sold as new.

  6. Daniel Rodriguez

Se escucha robotico el audio. Al mometo de correr se escucha mucho el golpeteo con los audifonos y la piel. No considero que valga la pena el cambio de la primera versión.

the right earbbuds start to have a very very low volume after just 1 month of useNote: i ,most of the time, only use the right earbuds. now i use the left one as the right one as i said become very low and have no idea if the left one will also follow the steps of the right one or last longer (i doubt it)Highly not recommended it
