Perfect Starter Phone for a Kid
I got this as a birthday present for my 10 year old. We wanted to introduce him to technology and teach him responsibly without all of the mess of social media and doomscrolling. He loves it so far. It’s easy to use and isn’t cheaply made. The battery life is amazing! It goes several days without needing to be charged. It’s got a nice yet simple design too. I love that it has a build-in kid mode that turns off access to the internet, youtube, and other features that we don’t want him on. It’s been a great (and SAFE!) experience so far!

Don’t waste your money.
A waste of money and time. Tracfone never worked despite 3 long sessions with Tracfone agents online. Would not call out and would not take calls. Very difficult phone to work with, getting back cover off and inserting SIM card. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy.

Great little phone for my purposes, but box had been apparently opened previously.
I ordered this Tracfone to replace a lost one recently. It arrived quickly, and was well packaged, but judging from the appearance of the phone’s factory box it had no doubt been opened at some point. The strip of tape that holds the flap on the box end was cut, and there was some damage to the box. After close inspection, however, nothing had been taken out of its cellophane factory wrapping and all the papers and booklets were there. Not a deal breaker, but still a bit concerning since the item description said “Brand New”.After a call to Tracfone, the service rep was very helpful in transferring my minutes and service from the lost phone to this one. This phone is somewhat larger than my old LG flip, but that’s actually a good thing for my aged eyes. It seems to work just fine, and I have an equal or better signal here with it as the old phone had. After a few moments of working with the menus and buttons I am comfortable that this phone will do just fine For the $$ I don’t think I could have done better, and am quite pleased overall in this transaction. It does appear, however, that this item was returned or previously purchased and should have been discounted just a bit for that fact.

This phone has parental controls too on the OS.
This is a great phone for a first time owner. I bought this for my son but was hesistant because there was no obvious parental controls. After googling the Operating Sytem, I figured out the KAIOS had parental controls. I was able to lock the browser and youtube app. The plan i purchased had unlimited talk and text but also 12 gigs of internet. The screen and buttons are big. The only draw back is the Texting is a bit wonky. For 20 bucks, what else can you ask for? The setup was easy also.

No its lock so I have to pay for 6 months esims before I just add it to my phone provider and I got my first month doesn’t work can’t text or make calls because of a bad sim so they sent a new one and it still don’t work just buy one from Walmart unlocked or at your mobile store other then that phone is fine easy to customize and helps those get away from social media and doom scrolling

Good phone
I loved the idea of going back to an og flip phone but getting the minutes was a hassle. Sadly, I returned it and went with a house phone instead.
