Donât waste your money
This product isnât ready for the public. Wasted money trying to find a sim card from different carriers. None worked. When I complained I was told it only works with 1 carrier. So I bought a sim card from that carrier and was denied service again. DO NOT BUY

Reliable Travel WiFi
I bought this for travel and itâs been very reliable so far. Setup was straightforward, and once connected, the speed was surprisingly good. I was able to use it for browsing, video calls, and streaming without major issues. Battery life lasts long enough for a full day when used moderately. Itâs compact and easy to carry around, which makes it great for trips or backup internet.

Light weight, pocket sized, easy to use, good connection
I ordered this portable wi-fi hotspot for a family vacation. I purchased a separate nano-sim card and was able to provide wi-fi/data to my entire family of 5 people without having to purchase multiple international data plans for each device. It was easy to use by simply installing the SIM card and then having my family connect directly to the hotspot. It worked especially well for out iPad devices that don’t actually have any plan attached. We don’t have mobile hotspots included on our phone plan so this device allowed for everyone’s iPads to be able to stream shows and browse the internet during the vacation.I was able to bring this portable wifi with us to dinners and the beach by simply putting it in my backpack. Spending a day out on the beach made it easy to have a data connection which was great because kids and adults were able to use their devices throughout the day.The screen is easy to read and the interface is simple and easy to use. No one had any issues with streaming shows while using the hotspot, it provided a secure connection. So far, the connection has been stable for uploading and downloading netflix shows. I personally appreciated having this wifi connection in the airport. I often have issues with being able to download movies when I am in an airport on their wifi. We didn’t use the device since our flight provided high speed internet. I am looking forward to trying it out on our next international trip. Overall, this unit performed well for our needs. It’s well constructed and works as advertised. Small, compact and light-weight, it’s very easy to put in a backpack or even your pocket and provide continuous data to your entire group. We never needed to have 16 people connect but having that flexibility is a plus. This device will save you money when traveling and provides a good wifi connection. Great for using in the car on road trips, taking to a park or beach and really nice when camping. One thing to note is the wifi will only work when there is cellular service provided in the area. If you travel into a “dead” zone, this unit will not work. It is dependent on the cell phone data being available and is best for devices that do not have a data plan. Your regular cellular plan should be enough for your phones and you would not need it for that, only for devices that don’t have a cellular plan with data. Over all a good value for the price when you don’t want to pay for extra for long term data plan contracts.

Solid connection, though a bit slow
I picked up this SCHOK portable Wi-Fi hotspot to have a reliable connection while traveling, and overall, itâs been working well. It provides a very stable connection for my devices and was easy to get set up.Iâm giving it 4 stars because the speeds are a little slower than I expected. Itâs a Cat 12 router, so it should be plenty fast, but I haven’t quite seen the top speeds yet. It might just be the signal in my specific area, but it’s something to keep in mind if you need a high-speed link for heavy data use.That said, it supports up to 16 devices and works with the major carriers, so itâs a very versatile little travel router to have in your kit.

Works with Google Fi (MVNO operating on T-mobile)
It says on the listing that it supports all the major carriers, but then the manual says VERIZON ONLY, which is a little alarming. We have Google Fi (which operates as an MVNO off of T-mobile in the US), and I can confirm this does work with Google Fi. I haven’t taken it abroad yet to test whether Fi does its standard seamless changeover for international.Key is making sure that once you put the sim card in, make sure you push the latch back up to lock the sim in. If you don’t do that, if you just flop the latch down, it doesn’t press the sim in enough. You must “lock” the sim flap (there’s a little picture on the unit itself).The menus are really rudimentary, but functional.The battery life is questionable, but most are on these hotspots.I was concerned at first that it might be using background data for some shenanigans or something because the bandwidth meter was showing far more than my browser was using when I first booted it up, but after a few days, Google Fi is reporting it’s fine.Speed is great, usually going to be bottlenecked more on your reception and carrier.And the build quality feels great in your hand.

Very Well Made SCHOK 4G LTE Portable WiFi – Cat 12 Mobile Hotspot Travel Router
This is a Wonderful WiFi Travel Router. This SCHOK 4G LTE Portable WiFi – Cat 12 Mobile Hotspot Travel Router, works great & comes with excellent instructions for use. It has a great signal strength when I used 75 miles out from the city & when traveling in the car over long distances. It holds a charge for up to 6 hours with constant use and it is a great price point for such a great product.
