Solid GPS tracker with intuitive simple to use app
Purchased this tracker for my daughter at the beginning of the fall soccer season. I read a bunch of reviews on Statsports and CityPlay before deciding on the Pitchero unit. Statsports was the most well known tracker in the space but it had a much higher initial investment without requiring a subscription. I was set on buying it but they didn’t have my daughter’s vest size on Amazon. CityPlay while intriguing being able to track touches individually on each foot I wasn’t sure it would be allowed in her league games (I also question the durability and whether it would be easy to lose the tracker in games if the straps broke). Additionally the initial cost of the unit was slightly more than the Pitchero with a much higher monthly subscription cost.I ultimately went with the Pitchero and have been very happy with the unit so far. It is very easy to setup and use and the companion app is intuitive measuring speed, distance and intensity for each training session/match. I like having the personal best (PB) stat present to show my daughter so she could get motivated to hit her PB in intensity or top speed, etc. The only feedback on the PB stat is to allow categorization of session type PB’s. For example, I wanted to see her PBs reached in matches only vs it being mixed in with training sessions like the current setup. Depending on the type of workout that is being done in a training session it doesn’t give a full picture of her effort, speed or intensity. There are some sessions that are sprint heavy while some are technical with not alot of intensity so being able to categorize multiple PBs and depending on how you configure the sessions having the PBs match the configured category would be great.Overall this is my first experience with a GPS tracker and I’m pretty happy with it. It does the basics pretty well with the aforementioned PBs for speed, intensity and distance. I would’ve liked more capabilities like being able to flag or filter out within a match when my daughter sat down or entered a game and only have the stats “count” during her active times. Hopefully there will be updates in the future that will add new functionality like that and trend charts, etc. If working with support is any indication that might be a good bet. I found a small bug with the app not allowing me to rename training sessions but the developer was very responsive when I got in touch with support. It was quickly addressed with a patch update.Lastly, the only thing to lookout for is the accuracy of the speed measurement. It seems to be clocking a couple MPH faster than it should be. For example I raced my daughter prior to acquiring the unit and beat her in a 50 yard dash. I wear a Garmin run watch daily and my top speed was lower than her PB top speed in the app by a couple MPH. That could be explained by her activating the tracker in the car as we arrive at her practice field (be careful with that step if you activate it too early it will measure the car speed!). Otherwise, great tool to help my daughter strive for consistency in her intensity and speed and games!

We purchased this as a motivator for our player. It definitely has done that. Overall good stuff. Absolutely does not charge in 30 minutes. Shows on the paperwork a USB c type charger, it in fact is not. The charger is a proprietary charger. Would have loved a universal USB c like shown in the picture.Really wish it worked indoors even in a more limited way.

Leider, lässt sich der Pitchero Tracker nicht installieren. Schade, das man sich erst mit der Kartennummer anmelden muss trotz gültigen Angaben funktioniert es nicht.12 Monate gratis App die nicht mal bei erst Benutzung gehen, echt mies.

A fantastic bit of of kit for any athlete. Easy to set up and use and gives a fantastic insight into your training. Have used this for a variety of training session and games. Battery lasts for over 5 hours on a single charger
