Customers say
Customers find these wireless earbuds to be high quality with good sound and battery life that charges quickly. They appreciate the value for money, with one customer noting they’re better than AirPods. The noise cancellation and functionality receive mixed reviews – while some find the noise cancellation superb, others report it stopped working, and while some say they work well, others say they stopped working properly. The fit is also mixed, with some finding them snug while others report they don’t stay securely in place.

Extremely Impressive- I didnât think theyâd be as good as they are!
I got these as a lower-cost replacement for the 1st generation AirPods Pro that I had used for a few years (before one of the pods finally met its unfortunate demise), and Iâd say theyâre just about as good all-around as those were. The fact that these are a quarter of the price of the AirPods Pro is certainly astounding, and Iâm legitimately very impressed. I have always thought highly of Anker/Soundcoreâs products, but I bought these for $36 (on sale) and certainly did not expect them to be THIS good LOLSound quality: While the sound quality is not quite as good as the AirPods Pro, I found the smart EQ feature on the Soundcore app to be EXTREMELY helpful in getting the p40i earbuds to sound much better. The noise-cancellation of these p40i is also comparable to that of the AirPods Pro 1st gen in my opinion, given that you fit them properly into your ears (and Iâm often in a noisy environment). I am happy with the way these sound; I own an expensive pair of over-the-ear headphones and I am generally picky about sound. When I do wear earBUDS though, I am not super super picky, and I just want something that can (1) be easily connected to my device (2) have long battery life (3) be durable, water-resistant. Basically, for earbuds, Iâm looking for a workhorse, and these do the job while sounding excellent for the price!Battery life and Durability: I wear these earbuds A LOT (I can hear street noise inside my house at all hours, and wearing earbuds helps me to focus); while walking, exercising, cleaning, cooking, and also while showering (when I am not submerging my head in water of course), and the p40i have been perfect for all of those! The battery life is incredible, even after months of daily use- the battery life of the p40i is definitely better than that of the 1st gen AP Pros (which struggled to maintain even 2 hrs use even when fully charged after 2 yrs). They are definitely water-resistant and durable as well, having survived multiple instances of light water exposure and multiple drops. I have not kept the case in any sort of protector, and there are essentially no visible scratches on the exterior (again, this is another category in which the p40i offers better performance in my opinion than Appleâs airpods).Connectivity + conclusion: I used to think only Apple products could connect so seamlessly to my iPhone (which is a major selling point of Appleâs Airpods), but these p40i changing my mind! 98% of the time, I am connecting these to my iPhone 14. Connection is seamless, and I have only had to fully re-pair my phone and the p40i once in 5 months of ownership (pairing is also incredibly easy). Also, I have a Dell laptop and a Surface Pro (Windows OS), and the connectivity between my computers and the p40i is a much nicer experience than that of my computers and the Apple AirPods. Conclusion: Honestly, I will not be buying any AirPods device again because of the experience I have had with the p40i- although Airpods work great and are nice, Iâve accepted that earbuds in general just wonât last forever with daily use, so it doesnât make sense to spend over $100 on them. In 2-3 years when Iâm ready for new earbuds, I will likely buy one of Soundcoreâs more expensive models as I am truly impressed with the overall quality of these budget-friendly p40i earbuds!

Goodbye AirPods!!!
Thereâs no wrong with these earbuds !!! Take it from an amateur music producer. The bass THUMP!!! The EQ on the app is a 10/10 . Microphone quality is great , I work in a warehouse and even with all the machines on the microphones pickup crystal clear! Better than any 120$ earbuds I bought in the past . Definitely worth the money !! Connects extremely fast every time you put them in your ear . Fits perfect in the ear . Case is perfect size for quick travels. Battery life is superb even with ANC on.

P40i vs Liberty 4 NC vs JBL Vibe Beam
I ordered 3 different earbuds all within a similar price range(+- $30) to figure out which one I liked the most – Soundcore Liberty 4 NC, P40i, and JBL Vibe Beam. Here are my notes and comparisons. The Liberty 4 NC is my favorite but there is one aspect I donât like. They Libertyâs are very clear with good bass and their app allows you to customize EQ settings which is deal breaker for me. (All three pairs have custom EQs within their respective apps). The noise cancellation is great, comparable or even better than AirPros 2 and the fit is superb and on par with the P40i.The JBL Vibe was less comfortable but more so than JBL Tune(ordered these a while back). The JBL Vibes are not noise canceling and I knew that before hand so Iâm not knocking it.The JBLs are fine for the price point but not the best for quality as they use 8mm drivers vs 11mm drivers for the Soundcore. The one thing I donât like with the Libertyâs is the slightest white noise I get when between songs or silent parts. The P40iâs donât have that problem. The P40i have great bass and fit just as well but they lack in higher frequencies and thatâs important for audiophiles. The P40i also have a much friendlier app interface with many more preset features. BUT the Libertyâs have an option to set up your âideal listening EQâ and that is a great feature as it adjusts to your preferred sound through samples and takes the guess work out.Overall the Liberty 4 NCâs took the cake with respect to comfort and sound quality. To me, it was worth the extra $. I canât speak on longevity as I received all three and have been testing them individually the past couple days.

Great Value for the Price
These and the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC came up in my research. I had high hopes for the Liberty 4 NC earbuds, as they seemed to trade better noise canceling for reduced specs like battery life and waterproof rating, which was fine by me. However I could not get a good seal with those. The earbuds on these P40i’s must be shaped just a little bit differently and fit my ears better. Using a the Large tip on one side and XL on the other, I can get an “excellent seal” in the fit test you can run in the Soundcore app.Speaking of the app, I really like the functionality there. You have all the options you need to configure the touch controls, EQ, and ANC modes. The only con with the app is it’s a bit of a battery hog, at least on Android. However, if you toggle the ‘allow background usage’ off, that solves that issue. In terms of the actual performance of the earbuds, music and podcasts sound great, and the ANC works very well to block out the noise from my lawnmower. Also way more comfortable than wearing big over-ear ear protection (was using 3M WorkTunes). It’s not completely blocked out but more than tolerable. They also do a great job silencing background noise in the office.Soundcore customer service is very responsive. I ran into an issue where the 2 and 3-tap touch controls did’t work during calls and Teams meetings. After some troubleshooting, they replaced them for me at no cost. This is still an issue with the replacement. Digging further into the controls in the app, this seems more like a feature than a bug. Seems like customer service should have already known this and could have simply explained it rather than replacing the earbuds, which accomplished nothing. Still, I applaud their willingness to help!Very happy with my purchase overall.

ANC feature is worst as if it does not exist.
Fast and Curious –
Only day 2 of usage so I canât speak for battery life yet, but â¦Sound quality – utterly stunned at how wide the soundstage is and clarity of all frequencies, from the bass to mid to treble. Iâve been using many (I keep losing them) A90 Pro cheapos whose noise cancelling never worked and sound quality was always variable. I love the app which did an analysis of my hearing and gave me a custom EQ.Noise cancelling – again, utterly brilliant. In auto mode it works a treat and in manual mode on max setting, the kitchen fan virtually disappears. Itâs not quite like mu Bose on ear QC headphones but very impressive at this price point (£38 at the time of writing).Case – very clever little case with what was a strange pull up notch which my son discovered and told me it is a phone stand! And I notice the bottom of the case has a rubberised bit that stops it moving about – very clever.App – again very user friendly and intuitive with loads of functionality – from EQ to the brilliantly useful flexibility of being able to set what taps down what functions.Fit – the fit is perfect for my adult ears. Like all things in-ear the key is to find the correct sized rubber / silicone bits (of which it comes with many variations) to properly seal into the ear canal – reducing noise and improving fit.Downside – not as responsive to taps as the A90s were but for now Iâm wondering if itâs me just getting used to a difference in responsiveness?ð¤·ââï¸Iâll update this review as I experience them for longer, but first impressions are of a very high quality product. Bought a second set for my son. Especially as I find the volume is 1/2 of what it needed to be on the A90 pros due to better sound and actual working ANC!Update 12-Sep-25: battery life is stunningly good, ANC works flawlessly, no connection issues – in fact I have it connected to my laptop and phone at the same time. a VERY happy customer
